Players to look out for in Indian Premiere League 2021 edition

Indian Premiere League is the biggest sporting event in cricket right now. So much media coverage and so much money has been invested into IPL. As we go into the 14th edition of IPL, the viewers are highly anticipating a good clash between the franchises and certainly there are new talents that have emerged from IPL. Let’s look at some players to look out for in this IPL.

Chetan Sakariya

Sakariya was picked by the Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.2 crore in this edition of IPL. He plays for Saurashtra in the domestic circuit in India and was the 6th highest wicket taker in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He comes from a very humble background and his dad works as a tempo-driver.

His biggest setback come when his younger brother died of suicide but his parents did not tell him for the longest time as his performance would get hindered. Sakarkiya was also a net bowler in UAE for Royal Challengers Bangalore last season. He is certainly one of the players to watch out for this season.

Nitish Rana

Nitish Rana plays for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy but in the IPL plays for Kolkata Knight Riders. He is one of the most talented uncapped Indian players as of this date. Suryakumar Yadav was the dark horse from the last season but this season has to be of Nitish Rana.

He is currently 27 years of age and has made tons of runs in the domestic circuit and we believe this has to be Nitish Rana’s season.

Shahrukh Khan

Bollywood actor Preity Zinta was elated when she picked Shahrukh Khan for the season of IPL’21. He is certainly not the SRK we’re talking about. Shahrukh is a young talented batsman from Tamil Nadu who made his presence felt in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Tropphy last season.

He is picked up by Punjab Kings for a whooping Rs 5.25 crores. Shahrukh’s ability to finish off the games has led his picking for Punjab Kings this season.

Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad was one of the few positives that CSK found out in their bizarre season in the UAE. He played some stylish shots and classy innings for CSK in the last season and it is certain that he will do it again in this season of the IPL at home.

His IPL salary might be a bit low as compared to others but we are sure that he will bloom this season.

Deepak Hooda

The stylish batsman has become a very important player for Punjab Kings and has earned the role of a finisher in the team. He can also bowl when required and hit a few out of the ground too.

Deepak Hooda earlier played for Sunrisers Hyderabad but he was not able to express himself much in the team. He was picked up for the Punjab Kings for a Rs 50 lakhs. His salary has dipped from Rs 3.2 crores in SRH but has showed a lot of promise in the Punjab Kings jersey.

Abdul Samad

Abdul Samad is an Indian cricketer who plays for Jammu & Kashmir in domestic cricket and for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. He is just 19 years of age but his hitting ability is worth appreciating and his fielding is also worthy of praise.

He along with Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma were playing for SRH last season but the rest have been dropped from the playing 11 while Abdul Samad is still in the team. Let’s see whether his magic continues this season or not.

Ravi Bishnoi

Ravi plays for Punjab Kings in the IPL and for Rajasthan in the domestic circuit. He was picked up for Punjab Kings for a whooping Rs 2 crores and it’s a big achievement since he is just 20 years of age. The leggie played a vital role in the last season of IPL is expected to play a big role in this coming season of IPL.

He was not picked for the first match against Rajasthan Royals match but is expected to join the playing 11 since Punjab Kings struggled a lot in bowling department, especially with the spin.

Virat Singh

23-year old Virat Singh was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2020 IPL Auction for a whopping 1.9 crores at nearly ten times his base price. He will be debuting for Sunsrisers Hyderabad in the 2021 season of the IPL. He is a left handed batsman and represents Jharkhand in the domestic Circuit.

Virat made his debut for the Jharkhand under-19s at the age of 14, in the 2012–13 edition of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Only time will tell how he will play in SRH.
